The Filler compaction apparatus is used to determine the void content of dry compacted filler.

The apparatus consists of a cylinder having with an inside diameter of 25.4 mm, a plunger which slides freely into the cylinder with maximum lateral play of 0.20mm +/- 0.05 mm and guide rods, all mounted on a metallic base.
